The Wellness Doctor Speaks 2-2-11
Sometimes I forget how blessed I am to know the truth about health and what is required to get and stay well. All I have to do is consider how many people have squandered their life savings because they have been taught that health came in a pill, a bottle, or a doctor. Or, I could think about all of the unnecessary pain and suffering that have come to those and their families who have unknowingly surrendered their bodies to ill-advised, irreversible surgery.
The vast majority is inclined to choose the popular, the accepted, and the mainstream beliefs about why they get sick, ie: Bad Genes, Bad Germs, and Bad Luck. They have been taught to look past the simple and the natural and often are unaware that they harbor a mistrust of their own body.
I have to remind myself that each of us has been granted free will by our Creator to choose a path congruent with our own belief system. We also all have innate (inborn) values with which our actions must also be in congruence to avoid strife.
My innate value of integrity tells me that I have a moral obligation to tell my truth as I have come to know it through my study of peer-reviewed research and clinical experience. What you will NOT get from me is a watered-down version of what is required to restore and maintain your most important asset – your health. The key to my purpose is to share my beliefs with compassion and kindness. Whether or not they become yours is up to you. My job is to tell the truth.
